Red Magic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro Launched in China
Nubia, a sub-brand of ZTE, has introduced the Red Magic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro in China. This powerful tablet targets serious gamers with advanced features and strong performance. The company will later release it globally as the Red Magic Astra 2.
The tablet runs on the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. It offers up to 1TB of fast storage. Moreover, it features a large 9.06-inch OLED display with a high refresh rate. Users will enjoy smooth visuals during intense gaming sessions.
Price and Colour Options
Pricing starts at CNY 5,299 (roughly Rs. 74,000) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. The 16GB RAM + 512GB model costs CNY 5,999 (around Rs. 84,000). The top 16GB RAM + 1TB version comes at CNY 6,999 (approximately Rs. 98,000).
The tablet is available in Dark Night and Silver Wing colours.

The Red Magic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro runs Android 16 with Redmagic OS 11.5. It boasts a 9.06-inch 2.4K OLED display. This screen supports up to 165Hz refresh rate and delivers peak brightness of 1,600 nits. Furthermore, it includes advanced 5,280Hz PWM dimming for eye comfort.
A powerful 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor drives the device. It pairs with an Adreno 840 GPU. The tablet offers up to 16GB of LPDDR5T RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. Additionally, it features Red Magic’s in-house RedCore R4 gaming chip and Energy Cube 3.0 technology.
For cooling, the tablet uses a large 12,016 sq mm VC system with advanced materials. It also includes an RGB lighting system on the back.

The tablet has a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. It supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. Users can unlock the device with face recognition. It also includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

An 8,300mAh battery powers the tablet. It supports fast 80W charging. Moreover, dual USB Type-C ports allow simultaneous charging and audio use. The device offers reverse charging and comes with dual 1227 stereo speakers for rich sound.
