DJI Mic Mini 2S: Advanced Features for Creators

DJI Launches Mic Mini 2S Wireless Microphone with Advanced Features

DJI has introduced the Mic Mini 2S as its newest wireless microphone.

This latest model brings several powerful upgrades. It includes 32-bit float onboard recording, support for up to four transmitters with one receiver, and AI-powered noise reduction. Moreover, it offers expanded internal storage, direct compatibility with select Osmo cameras, and a redesigned charging case.

Additional improvements include faster file transfers, multiple voice presets, longer battery life, and interchangeable magnetic covers.

Pricing and Availability in India

The DJI Mic Mini 2S comes in different bundles.

The standard kit with two transmitters, one receiver, and a charging case costs HKD 1,299 (approximately Rs. 15,800). A single transmitter and receiver pair is priced at HKD 739 (around Rs. 9,000). Another bundle with one transmitter, one mobile receiver, and charging case also costs HKD 739.

Buyers can also choose a comprehensive package with two transmitters, one receiver, charging case, and mobile receiver for HKD 1,408 (roughly Rs. 17,100).

Customers can purchase the system from DJI’s official online store. They can also buy optional magnetic covers in various colours, windscreens, and other accessories separately.

Key Features and Specifications

The transmitter weighs only 12 grams. It provides 14.5GB of built-in storage. This allows up to 28 hours of backup recordings. Users can even use the transmitter as a standalone voice recorder when needed.

DJI added 32-bit float recording technology. This feature captures a wider dynamic range. As a result, creators gain more flexibility during audio editing.

The system supports up to four transmitters with a single receiver. It offers mono, stereo, and quad recording modes. Additionally, the DJI Mimo app creates a Safety Track to prevent audio clipping.

The Mic Mini 2S works with previous generation transmitters from the Mic Mini and Mic Mini 2 series.

Audio Quality and Noise Reduction

The microphone provides two AI-powered noise reduction modes. These modes adapt to different recording environments. It also features adaptive gain control to handle sudden volume changes smoothly.

Users can choose from three voice profiles: Regular, Rich, and Bright.

Camera Compatibility and Connectivity

DJI expanded integration with its camera lineup. The transmitters connect directly to Osmo Pocket 4, Osmo 360, Osmo Nano, and Osmo Action 6 cameras through OsmoAudio technology. Up to two transmitters can link to one camera at the same time.

The receiver includes a 3.5mm TRS connector. It works with cameras, smartphones, tablets, and computers. The transmitter also functions as a Bluetooth microphone for supported mobile apps.

Performance and Battery Life

The system delivers strong wireless range. Users get up to 400 meters with the standard receiver and 300 meters with the mobile receiver.

Battery performance impresses creators. Each transmitter lasts up to 11 hours on a single charge. The receiver provides up to 10 hours. With the charging case, the full system offers up to 40 hours of use. A quick five-minute charge gives about one hour of operation.

The transmitter comes with a detachable magnetic clip. Users can rotate it for flexible mounting. It is available in Obsidian Black and Cloud White colours. Personalisation options include colourful magnetic covers and windscreens.

This new Mic Mini 2S strengthens DJI’s position in the wireless audio market. Content creators and filmmakers now have more advanced tools at their disposal.
