Redmi Confirms K100 Launch in China Later This Month

Redmi has confirmed that the Redmi K100 will launch in China later this month. Xiaomi’s sub-brand shared the update through its official Weibo account and released a teaser image of the phone’s rear design. However, the company has not announced the exact launch date yet.

The Redmi K100 is already open for pre-reservation in China. Buyers can reserve the phone with a CNY 9.9 (roughly Rs. 140) deposit. The deposit also unlocks a special new-product gift package at the time of purchase.

Redmi describes the upcoming model as offering massive battery capacity and gaming performance on par with Pro flagships. The teaser image appears to show a dual rear camera setup alongside a large circular element, which may be a speaker grille similar to the one on the Redmi K100 Pro series.

According to early leaks and rumours, the Redmi K100 is expected to feature a 6.9-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 185Hz. It is likely to run on a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and pack a 10,000mAh battery. Other expected features include Bose-tuned speakers, an IP68 rating, and Android 17-based HyperOS 4. Past reports also suggested a starting price of around CNY 3,500 (roughly Rs. 50,000) in China.

The Redmi K100 will be the third model in the series. Redmi launched the K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max in China in August. Those phones started at CNY 3,999 and CNY 4,499, respectively, and carried large batteries of 8,580mAh and 9,070mAh.

With the standard Redmi K100 now confirmed for a late-month launch, more official details on specifications and pricing are expected soon.

Samsung Galaxy SmartTag 3 Set for India Launch in January 2027

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy SmartTag 3 in September this year. The tracking device brings several upgrades over the Galaxy SmartTag 2. It is already available for purchase in select global markets. However, its India availability had not been announced until now. A Samsung executive has recently confirmed the India launch timeline.

Daill Kim, Samsung India’s Head of Tablet, Note PC and Wearable, shared the update through a post on LinkedIn. He stated that the Galaxy SmartTag 3 would arrive in the country in January 2027. The exact launch date and pricing details remain unknown. Therefore, buyers will need to wait for further announcements from Samsung.

Samsung introduced the Galaxy SmartTag 3 last month with a rounded shape and an aluminium-finished button. The device went on sale in South Korea on October 7 for KRW 44,000 (roughly Rs. 3,000) for a single tag. In the US, a single tag costs $29.99 (roughly Rs. 2,000). A four-pack bundle is priced at $99.9 (roughly Rs. 9,000). It comes in Black and White colours.

The Galaxy SmartTag 3 helps users track keys, wallets, pets, luggage and other valuables. It works through Samsung’s Galaxy Find Network and the SmartThings Find app. The device supports iPhone models and offers cross-OS compatibility for Galaxy and iOS devices. It features an IP67-rated build for dust and water resistance. Additionally, it includes Bluetooth 6.0 with channel sounding and Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology.

The tracker offers features such as Place Notification, Location History and Movement Detection Alert. It also includes an NFC-based Lost Mode. Under typical usage, Samsung advertises up to 550 days of battery life. With Power Saving Mode enabled, the company claims the device can last up to 790 days. In short, the Galaxy SmartTag 3 expands tracking options for users across different platforms, with its India launch now confirmed for early 2027.

Sony Launches Signature Series Walkman Models in Select Markets

Sony Signature Series Walkman models were launched in select global markets on Thursday. These are the Japanese tech giant’s premium audio players. They are currently available for pre-order. The new models are set to go on sale globally soon. The lineup includes three models: NW-WM1ZM3, NW-WM1AM3, and NW-ZX900.

The new Sony Signature Series Walkman features a gold-plated oxygen-free copper chassis. The models also sport Kimber Kable wiring. The audio players include a display and offer up to 40 hours of battery life. In addition, the NW-ZX900 model is equipped with an “ultra-low noise” LDO regulator and crystal oscillators, Sony said.

The Sony Signature Series Walkman NW-ZX900 is priced at $1,899.99 (roughly Rs. 1,80,000) in the US. It costs CAD 2,659.99 (about Rs. 1,78,000) in Canada. The three new models are currently available for pre-order. They will soon go on sale in select global markets via Sony-authorised retailers.

Specifications and Features

The premium Sony Signature Series Walkman NW-WM1ZM3 model features a gold-plated oxygen-free copper (OFC) chassis. This includes a 99.99 percent (4N) purity OFC main chassis and an OFC rear chassis. The company claims that this design allows the audio player to offer enhanced bass, soundstage, and high frequencies. It also gets Kimber Kable wiring. Meanwhile, the NW-WM1AM3 and NW-ZX900 models sport an aluminium-alloy main chassis. They use the same gold-plated OFC rear chassis as the NW-WM1ZM3.

Further, the company said that the Sony Signature Series Walkman NW-ZX900 model features an “ultra-low noise” LDO regulator and crystal oscillators, similar to the higher-end audio players. The Sony Signature Series Walkman models also get S-Master HX digital amp technology. They support the Native DSD format. The three new Walkman models are powered by Sony’s DSD Remastering Engine.

The Sony Signature Series Walkman NW-WM1ZM3 and NW-WM1AM3 models are equipped with 5.5-inch screens. Meanwhile, the NW-ZX900 model boasts a 5-inch display. Users can customise the Home Screen interface as well. The NW-WM1ZM3 and NW-WM1AM3 models are claimed to deliver up to 35 hours of 128kbps MP3 playback and up to 31 hours of streaming. On the other hand, the NW-ZX900 is said to provide up to 40 hours of 128kbps MP3 audio playback and up to 35 hours of streaming.

iQOO Teases Pad Pro 8.8 with 8.8-Inch OLED Display and 9020mAh Battery

iQOO has confirmed that the Pad Pro 8.8 will launch in China soon. The Vivo sub-brand has teased key specifications of the upcoming tablet. It highlighted the display, battery capacity, and cooling technology. The new Android tablet is expected to arrive alongside the iQOO Neo 12. Reservations are already open in China.

In its latest Weibo post, iQOO confirmed the launch later this month. The company started accepting pre-orders through its official website, JD.com, Tmall, and Douyin. It also disclosed the main specifications. The tablet will feature an 8.8-inch OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. The company says the screen will offer a wider field of view for first-person shooter games.

The iQOO Pad Pro 8.8 will include a 9,020mAh battery. It will use an Ice Dome quad-cooling system with an active cooling fan measuring 30x30x3.5mm. The cooling setup provides a total heat dissipation area of 23,253 mm sq and supports three intelligent fan-speed settings. The tablet weighs 298g and measures just 5.74mm in thickness.

HP Launches ZBook Ultra G3a Mobile Workstation in India

HP launched the ZBook Ultra G3a in India on Wednesday. The company is positioning the new ZBook series device as a thin-and-light mobile workstation for AI, engineering, design, and content professionals. Oppo has confirmed the India launch of its Find X10 series for October 22 at 4:45 PM IST. The event comes one day after the global debut of the series in Spain on October 21. iQOO and Motorola have offered a first look at their next flagship smartphones at India Mobile Congress 2026 in New Delhi.

Dell Launches Pro Rugged 13 Extreme and Pro Rugged 14 Laptops in India

Dell has launched the Pro Rugged 13 Extreme in India, along with the Pro Rugged 14. Both laptops use Intel Core Ultra 7 series processors and include a neural processing unit rated at up to 50 TOPS. They also ship with bumper cases. The 13 Extreme is the fully rugged model, while the 14 is semi-rugged. Each one carries a 53.5Wh battery.

The Dell Pro Rugged 13 Extreme starts at Rs. 3,36,990. The Pro Rugged 14 starts at Rs. 2,65,990. Both models are on sale through Dell’s online store in India.

The Pro Rugged 13 Extreme carries an IP66 rating for dust and water resistance. It also has HazLoc C1D2 and MIL-STD-810/MIL-STD-461G certifications. Buyers can configure it with up to an Intel Core Ultra X7 368H vPro processor. That 16-core chip reaches up to 5GHz, and the NPU delivers up to 50 TOPS. The laptop runs Windows 11 Pro. Memory goes up to 64GB of LPDDR5x, and storage goes up to a 2TB SSD.

The display goes up to 14 inches, with a Full-HD+ resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels, a 19:10 aspect ratio, peak brightness of up to 1,100 nits, and an anti-glare coating.

An Intel Core Ultra 7 366H vPro processor powers the 14. The 16-core chip peaks at 4.8GHz. The NPU again reaches up to 50 TOPS. Base graphics are integrated Intel Graphics. Memory is 64GB of LPCAMM2, and storage goes up to a 2TB SSD. Buyers can also add an Nvidia RTX Pro 500 Blackwell GPU with 6GB of GDDR7 memory. Battery, charging, wireless options, and the webcam match the 13 Extreme.

Wired ports include RJ-45 Ethernet, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, one Thunderbolt 4 port, one USB 4 Type-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and HDMI 2.1. With bumpers, it measures 334.1 x 238 x 40mm and weighs about 2.13kg.
