Tecno has launched the Pova 8 Pro 5G in India. The phone went on sale this week. It joins the existing Pova 8 series as the newest model.
The handset uses a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate chipset. It features a 144 Hz AMOLED display. In addition, it carries an Alive Matrix Display on the back. That rear panel can show notifications, battery level, timers and other details.
A 6,500 mAh battery powers the phone. It supports 45 W wired fast charging.
The base variant with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage costs Rs 49,999. A higher 12 GB + 512 GB version is priced at Rs 54,999.
Buyers can get an instant Rs 3,000 cashback on eligible card and UPI payments. This brings the effective price of the base model down to Rs 46,999. No-cost EMI plans run up to 18 months. Monthly instalments start at Rs 2,777.
The dual-SIM phone runs HiOS 16 based on Android 16. Tecno promises two operating-system upgrades and three years of security patches.
Its 6.78-inch HyperLux AMOLED screen has a 1,208 × 2,644 resolution. The panel reaches 144 Hz, 429 ppi and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. An IP69K rating protects it against dust and water.
An octa-core Dimensity 7400 Ultimate processor drives the device. It pairs with a Tecno P1 graphics chip and an ARM Mali-G615 MC2 GPU. A vapour-chamber cooling system with a 5,000 sq mm area helps manage heat.
The rear Alive Matrix Display uses 177 mini LEDs. It creates a breathing-light effect across more than 49 different situations.
A dual rear-camera setup includes a 50-megapixel main sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. A 13-megapixel front camera handles selfies and video calls.
The Pova 8 Pro 5G is now available for purchase across India.
