Top 5 Smartphones Launching in August 2026

Five New Smartphones Arrive in August 2026 Despite Rising Chip Costs

Chip prices keep climbing. Strong AI demand continues to tighten supply. Manufacturing costs have reached record levels.

Yet smartphone makers show no signs of slowing down. Brands continue to schedule back-to-back launches. August 2026 looks especially busy for buyers. Google, Vivo, OnePlus, and others have already prepared several new devices.

Here are five phones expected to debut this month.

Google will introduce its full Pixel 11 series on August 12. The lineup includes the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. All four models should run on Google’s in-house Tensor G6 chip. Memory options will likely include 12GB or 16GB of RAM. Buyers can also expect camera improvements, fresh AI features, and longer battery life.

Meanwhile, OnePlus has confirmed the N6x. The company already revealed several highlights. These include a 120 Hz display and the largest vapor chamber cooling system in its segment. AI tools such as AI Unblur, AI Portrait Glow, and AI Eraser will also arrive. The phone has launched, and sales begin on August 4.

In addition, Vivo plans to release the S2 in India during the first week of August. Reports point to a MediaTek Dimensity 7360 processor. A large 7,050 mAh battery should power the device. The dual-camera setup appears to feature a 50 MP main sensor paired with a 2 MP secondary lens.

Next comes the Redmi Note 17 from Xiaomi. The company has started teasing key features. A massive 8,000 mAh battery stands out, along with two color options. The phone is expected to use a 4 nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chip and 8 GB of RAM. Official launch in India is set for August 6.

Finally, Vivo is also preparing the V80 for an August debut. Specs point to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor and a 7,200 mAh battery. Because the V series focuses on cameras, new imaging upgrades are likely. However, Vivo has not yet confirmed the official India launch date.
