Motorola Launches Moto Pad 70 Groove Tablet in India
Motorola has launched the Moto Pad 70 Groove in India. The tablet features a 9-unit JBL Pro speaker system. It also includes a 12.1-inch 2.5K 120Hz display and the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset.
A built-in 360-degree Kickstand 2.0 supports flexible viewing. The device packs a 10,200mAh battery with 45W TurboPower charging. It runs Android 16 out of the box. Motorola bundles several AI-backed software features, including Google Gemini. The company also promises Android version upgrades and long-term security support.
The tablet arrives in a single RAM and storage configuration. It will go on sale in India during the first week of August.
Moto Pad 70 Groove Price and Availability
Motorola prices the Moto Pad 70 Groove at Rs. 36,999. This covers the sole 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The tablet comes in a Pantone Blue Surf colorway.
Customers can claim an instant bank discount of Rs. 3,000 on select bank cards. This reduces the effective price to Rs. 33,999. Sales begin on August 7 through Flipkart, Motorola.in, and leading retail stores across the country.
Moto Pad 70 Groove Features and Specifications
The Moto Pad 70 Groove uses a 12.1-inch 2.5K LCD display. The resolution measures 2,560 x 1,600 pixels. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate. Typical brightness reaches 600 nits, while High Brightness Mode delivers 800 nits. The panel also supports Dolby Vision, HDR10, and the DCI-P3 color gamut.
An octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset powers the tablet. It pairs with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The device ships with Android 16-based Hello UI. Motorola plans to deliver OS upgrades up to Android 18. Four years of security updates will follow. Google Gemini comes preloaded. Additional features include Circle to Search with Google, Smarter Reader, AI Writing Tools, AI Notes, and Smart Connect. These tools enable file sharing and screen mirroring across devices.
A 9-unit JBL Pro speaker system delivers the audio. It includes four tweeters, three woofers, and two passive radiators with dedicated bass units. The setup supports Dolby Atmos and Bluetooth Speaker Mode. Live Transcript provides translation support for more than 40 languages.
For cameras, the tablet features a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera. An 8-megapixel fixed-focus front camera handles selfies. It also supports 4K video playback.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 6, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port. An accelerometer and gyroscope are present. Notably, the tablet lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The 10,200mAh battery supports 45W TurboPower charging. Motorola claims up to 15 hours of YouTube streaming on a single charge. A 10-minute charge can deliver up to two hours of battery life.
The tablet measures 278.8 x 181.1 x 6.8mm and weighs about 775g. It features a rounded all-metal body. The built-in 360-degree Kickstand 2.0 supports Lean, Stand, Theatre, and Hanging modes. Users can switch between portrait and landscape orientations. Motorola includes a Moto Clear Case in the box.
