Gemini Live to Reportedly Support Uploaded Files
Google is reportedly working on a new feature for its Gemini chatbot. This feature will allow users to discuss uploaded files through voice conversations. Currently, Gemini only allows interaction with uploaded content via text. However, this update would enable hands-free communication through Gemini Live. It is the two-way verbal chat feature.
Android Authority found evidence in the Google app beta (version 15.45.33.ve.arm64) suggesting a new feature. Code strings like “Open Live,” “Talk about attachment,” and “Open Live with attachment” indicate new functionality. This new feature is being developed for Gemini Live.
This addition would be a significant improvement for users who rely on Gemini for tasks involving uploaded documents and spreadsheets. With Gemini Live support, users could discuss their files through voice commands, offering a more natural and convenient experience.
