Samsung Galaxy M47 5G Set to Launch in India Soon
Samsung will soon launch its new Galaxy M47 5G smartphone in India. The tech giant confirmed this update on Friday. Moreover, the device will succeed the Galaxy M44 that launched in 2023. A dedicated microsite has gone live in the country. It reveals design details, colour options, and availability information.
The Samsung Galaxy M47 5G features a modern look. It comes with a pill-shaped rear camera island. This design resembles the recently launched Galaxy A57 and A37 models. Additionally, the phone sports a flat rear panel for a sleek appearance.
The microsite teases the handset with the tagline “Next Level Monster.” Furthermore, it shows the device with a triple camera system inside the pill-shaped module. An LED flash sits next to the cameras. The phone includes a power button and volume rocker on the right side.
Samsung will offer the Galaxy M47 5G in at least one attractive red colour option. However, the company has not yet revealed the exact marketing name for this shade. Customers will be able to purchase the phone via Amazon in India.
Samsung has not disclosed the full launch date or pricing yet. Still, more details may emerge in the coming days. The company has also kept key specifications under wraps for now.
Recent reports provide some performance clues. The Galaxy M47 5G appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking platform with model number SM-476B. It runs on an octa-core Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset. This processor includes four efficiency cores at 1.8GHz and four performance cores up to 2.4GHz. Moreover, it features an Adreno 710 GPU and at least 8GB of RAM.
Additionally, the smartphone is expected to ship with Android 16. It scored 2,256 points in the Geekbench AI OpenCL GPU test. Overall, the Galaxy M47 5G promises solid performance for everyday users.
