Oppo Reno 15C Tipped as Fourth Model in Reno 15 Series, India Launch May Be Under Rs. 40,000
Oppo is expected to launch the Reno 15 series in India soon, after recently teasing the upcoming lineup. So far, the company has confirmed three models — Oppo Reno 15, Reno 15 Pro, and Reno 15 Pro Mini. Now, a new leak suggests that a fourth model, dubbed the Oppo Reno 15C, could also join the lineup.
The information comes from tipster Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd), who claims that the Reno 15C will debut alongside the other three variants and could be priced under Rs. 40,000 in India.
Oppo Reno 15C India Variant: Leaked Specifications
According to the tipster, the Indian version of the Oppo Reno 15C will feature a 6.57-inch full-HD LTPS OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,400 nits HBM brightness. The smartphone is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, paired with up to 12GB RAM and a single 256GB storage option.
In the camera department, the handset is tipped to sport a triple rear camera setup consisting of:
- 50MP primary sensor
- 8MP ultra-wide lens
- 2MP macro camera
On the front, the Reno 15C is said to feature a 50MP ultra-wide selfie camera for photography and video calls.
The device is also expected to pack a massive 7,000mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging. In terms of design, it is claimed to measure 8.14mm in thickness and weigh between 189g and 195g.
How It Differs from the Chinese Variant
Interestingly, Oppo launched a smartphone named Reno 15c in China earlier this month, but its specifications differ significantly from the tipped Indian model.
The Chinese variant comes with a 6.59-inch full-HD AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 1,200 nits peak brightness. It is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, paired with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.
For optics, it features:
- 50MP main camera with OIS
- 50MP telephoto camera with OIS
- 8MP ultra-wide camera
On the front, it offers a 50MP selfie shooter. The Chinese Reno 15c is backed by a 6,500mAh battery and supports 80W wired fast charging.
Should the Leak Be Trusted?
Due to the noticeable differences between the Indian leak and the Chinese model, the authenticity of the tipped specifications remains uncertain. Until Oppo makes an official announcement, the existence and specifications of the Reno 15C for India should be treated with caution.
