iPhone 18 Rumors: What to Expect at Apple’s September Event

Last-Minute iPhone 18 Rumours Ahead of Apple’s 9 September Event

Apple’s September event is only days away. It is scheduled for 9 September. Broader reports have already sketched the expected iPhone lineup. Smaller claims about price, colour, and specs are still arriving. Three late rumours stand out.

Third-party case makers posted renders this week. The images cover cases for the iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max, and Ultra. They are not official photos. Even so, they hint at shape and size.

Ultra case designs appear compact. They also look like a foldable that opens sideways. Two rear cameras show up in those layouts. That matches earlier talk of a small horizontal foldable.

The same leaks listed four colours for the Pro and Pro Max. Those shades are deep burgundy, light gray, black, and misty blue. Earlier reports had named a similar set. Case images for the standard iPhone 18 did not appear. That absence has fed speculation that Apple may delay the base model until spring. The Pro and Ultra phones would then take more of the autumn stage.

Pricing for the Ultra remains a large unknown. The model has no direct predecessor. A tipster on X cited Vodafone Australia listings. After currency conversion, that source put retail near $2,600. Research firm IDC has estimated about $2,550. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has said he expects a start price of at least $2,000. None of these figures is official. Together they suggest the Ultra could rank among Apple’s costliest iPhones.

Gurman also restated hardware rumours in a recent interview. He described a 5.5-inch cover display and a 7.8-inch inner screen. He said the phone should support MagSafe. That point had stayed unsettled. He compared the hinge with recent Samsung foldables. The crease may not vanish. It could still look relatively mild.

Timing may be the most useful claim. Gurman said buyers may not wait long after the 9 September reveal. Launch could follow in a few weeks. That would put Ultra availability close to the Pro and Pro Max. It would also weaken earlier talk of a long delay caused by higher manufacturing costs.

All of this remains unconfirmed. Apple has not published final names, prices, or ship dates. The event should settle the rumours.
