Xiaomi 17 Ultra, Poco X8 Pro Move Closer to Global Launch
Upcoming smartphones from Xiaomi and Poco have taken a key step toward global release.
Fresh regulatory filings point to an international rollout.
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra and Poco X8 Pro have appeared on Singapore’s IMDA database.
The listings suggest wider availability beyond China.
The devices were spotted on the certification site of Infocomm Media Development Authority.
Model numbers 2512BPNDAG and 2511FPC34G are listed.
The letter “G” indicates global variants.
Both phones are expected to launch in Singapore.
The certification confirms 5G support.
Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NFC are also listed.
The Poco X8 Pro is tipped to support reverse wireless charging.
This is based on WPT and WPC standards.
The Poco handset has already cleared BIS, SGS, and EEC approvals.
It is expected to run on a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chip.
The phone may feature a 6.6-inch 1.5K AMOLED display.
A 120Hz refresh rate is also expected.
Battery capacity could exceed 8,000mAh.
Some regions may get a 6,500mAh unit.
Fast charging up to 100W is tipped.
The frame is likely to be metal.
The Poco X8 Pro may launch globally in January 2026.
India is expected to be among the first markets.
Pricing could be above Rs. 30,000.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will debut in China on December 25.
It will succeed the Xiaomi 15 Ultra.
The phone measures just 8.29mm in thickness.
Colour options include black, green, and white.
A new “Starry” green shade has also been teased.
The device features a Leica-backed 1-inch main camera.
It uses the new Light and Shadow Hunter 1050L sensor.
LOFIC technology improves HDR and low-light performance.
A 200-megapixel Leica telephoto camera is also included.
It supports continuous optical zoom from 75mm to 100mm.
Full-resolution images are delivered without digital cropping.
With regulatory approvals lining up,
both smartphones now appear close to their global debut.
