Infinix GT 50 Pro India Launch Set for October, Date Still Hidden

Infinix is preparing to widen its GT gaming phone line in India with the GT 50 Pro. The company has confirmed that the handset will arrive in October, but it has not named the day. Like earlier GT models, the phone is expected to stress a fast display, stronger cooling, and hardware aimed at games. Infinix has also hinted at a small accessory set built around the device.

To reveal the date, the company is running a community campaign. Visitors can open the GT 50 Pro page on the Infinix site and click to raise a shared counter. Each click adds to the total. Infinix says the official launch date will be published once the counter hits its target.

The phone is not new everywhere. It debuted in selected global markets in April this year. The India model is expected to follow that version closely, though local pricing and final variants have not been announced.

The global dual-SIM model runs XOS 16, based on Android 16. It uses a 6.78-inch AMOLED LTPS screen at 1.5K resolution, 1,208 by 2,644 pixels. The panel refreshes at 144Hz. Touch sampling goes up to 330Hz, with an instant rate of 2,800Hz. Peak brightness is listed at 4,500 nits.

Inside, the global phone uses a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset and a Mali-G720 MC7 graphics unit. Memory is 12GB of LPDDR5X. Storage goes up to 512GB of UFS 4.1.

The rear camera setup has two lenses. The main sensor is 50 megapixels, with an f/1.59 aperture and optical stabilization. The ultrawide camera is 8 megapixels, with an f/2.2 aperture. A 13-megapixel front camera handles selfies and video calls.

Connectivity on the global model includes Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, USB On-The-Go, NFC, FM radio, and a USB Type-C port. The battery is 6,500mAh, with wired charging up to 45W and reverse wired charging at 10W. The phone measures 162.44 by 77.23 by 8.15 millimetres and weighs 198 grams.
