MediaTek Launches New Dimensity 7450 and 7450X Chipsets
MediaTek has quietly added two powerful mid-premium chipsets to its lineup. The company introduced the Dimensity 7450 and Dimensity 7450X. These processors have now appeared on MediaTek’s official website. They will soon power upcoming smartphones and foldable devices.
Strong Performance for Everyday Use
Both chipsets deliver clear improvements in gaming, AI, camera, and connectivity. Engineers built them on a 4nm manufacturing process. Each features an octa-core CPU with four Cortex-A78 cores running up to 2.6 GHz. Four Cortex-A55 cores handle efficiency tasks. The Arm Mali-G615 MC2 GPU manages graphics smoothly.
Moreover, MediaTek added its sixth-generation NPU. This new unit boosts on-device AI performance by up to 7 percent. As a result, phones can run AI camera features and other smart tasks more efficiently.
Better Gaming and Connectivity
MediaTek included HyperEngine technology along with Adaptive Gaming Technology 3.0. These tools dynamically balance speed and battery life during games. Users will enjoy smoother gameplay with less power drain.
In addition, the chipsets support fast connectivity options. They offer Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and 5G speeds reaching 3.27 Gbps with 3CC carrier aggregation. Therefore, users can expect quick downloads and stable connections.
Excellent Camera and Display Support
On the camera side, both processors handle up to 200-megapixel sensors. They also enable 4K HDR video recording and advanced noise reduction. Google Ultra HDR imaging receives full support as well.
Furthermore, the chips drive impressive displays. They support WFHD+ resolution at 120Hz and Full HD+ panels at up to 144Hz. Memory compatibility includes LPDDR5 and LPDDR4X RAM up to 6400 Mbps. Storage works with both UFS 2.2 and UFS 3.1 standards.
Special Feature for Foldables
The Dimensity 7450X stands out with extra capabilities. It adds full dual-display support for flip-style foldable phones. This feature makes it ideal for devices with both external and internal screens. Reports suggest the 7450X may first appear in the upcoming Motorola Razr 70.
Meanwhile, the standard Dimensity 7450 targets regular smartphones. It focuses on strong gaming and multimedia performance for everyday users.
What Comes Next
These new chipsets strengthen MediaTek’s position in the mid-premium segment. Smartphone makers can now offer better AI, gaming, and foldable experiences at competitive prices. Consumers should see the first devices powered by these chips in the coming months. MediaTek continues to push innovation in mobile technology.
