Redmi Buds 8 Launched in China with Strong Noise Cancellation
Xiaomi has officially introduced the Redmi Buds 8 in China. The new true wireless earbuds bring several useful features at an affordable price.
The Redmi Buds 8 come with active noise cancellation (ANC) up to 50dB. They use 11mm dynamic drivers and support a wide frequency range from 20Hz to 40kHz. Moreover, the earbuds carry Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification. They also support the LHDC audio codec along with SBC and AAC for better sound quality.
Users can enjoy clear calls thanks to a three-microphone setup with AI-powered noise reduction. This system effectively reduces wind noise even at speeds up to 12m/s. In addition, the earbuds offer multiple ANC modes such as depth, balanced, light, and adaptive. They also provide three transparency modes including standard, vocal enhancement, and environmental enhancement.
Connectivity and Convenience
The Redmi Buds 8 feature Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity. They offer a stable connection up to 10 metres in open areas. Furthermore, users can connect two devices at the same time and switch between them easily. The earbuds support audio sharing and gesture controls, including one-touch photo capture. Users can customise settings through the Xiaomi Headphones app.
Battery Life and Build
Each earbud contains a 54mAh battery, while the charging case holds 475mAh. Without ANC, the earbuds deliver up to 11 hours of playback on a single charge. With the case, total playback time reaches up to 44 hours. When ANC is turned on, users get up to 6.5 hours per charge and 28 hours with the case. The case supports fast charging via a USB Type-C port.
The earbuds carry an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. Each earbud weighs about 5 grams, and the complete set with the case weighs around 44.5 grams. This makes them light and comfortable for daily use.
Price and Colour Options
The Redmi Buds 8 are priced at CNY 229, which is roughly Rs. 3,100. They are available in three attractive colours: Cyan, Dusk Black, and White. Buyers can purchase them from the official Xiaomi website in China.
This launch took place on Tuesday along with other Redmi products. The company also unveiled the Redmi K90 Max smartphone, Redmi K Pad 2, and Redmi Book Pro 2026 on the same day.
