Huawei Pura 90 Pro and Pura 90 Pro Max Set to Launch in China on April 20
Huawei will soon introduce its new flagship smartphones in China. The company is preparing to launch the Pura 90 Pro and Pura 90 Pro Max later this month. Both models have already started accepting pre-orders.
The official launch event is scheduled for April 20 at 2:30 pm local time (12:00 pm IST).
Colour Options and Storage Variants
The Huawei Pura 90 Pro will be available in four attractive colours: Coconut White, Mulberry Black, Orange Soda, and Pink Guava.
It will come in four RAM and storage configurations:
- 12GB + 256GB
- 12GB + 512GB
- 16GB + 512GB
- 16GB + 1TB
Meanwhile, the Pura 90 Pro Max will be offered in five elegant shades: Dawn Gold, Emerald Lake, Obsidian Black, Orange Ocean, and Sunset Purple. It will feature the same RAM and storage options as the standard Pro model.
Design Highlights
Both smartphones share a similar modern design. They feature a striking triangular camera module on the back. This module contains three circular lenses arranged in a pyramid-like formation. Two lenses sit vertically, while a larger third lens is placed beside them. A small flash unit completes the camera setup.
Expected Specifications
Huawei is expected to power the Pura 90 Pro series with its latest Kirin 9030 Pro chipset. This processor uses a nine-core architecture that balances high performance and efficiency.
The phones are also likely to run on the latest HarmonyOS 6 with a refreshed user interface. In addition, they are expected to support HyperSpace Memory technology, which should improve multitasking and background app performance.
Background
The new Pura 90 series follows the successful Pura 80 series, which Huawei launched in China in June 2025. The Pura lineup has gained popularity for its stylish design and powerful hardware.
With the upcoming launch, Huawei aims to strengthen its position in the premium smartphone segment in China. More details about camera specifications, battery, and pricing are expected to be revealed during the official event on April 20.
