A fresh report reveals key details about the clamshell foldable. The Galaxy Z Flip 8 may retain the same battery size as its predecessor. It continues to use a split battery design. This setup distributes power across both halves of the folding body.
Battery Specs Stay Similar
The report from GalaxyClub states the device will feature two cells. One cell rates at 1,150mAh. The other rates at 3,024mAh. Together, they provide a rated capacity of 4,174mAh. Samsung will market it as a typical 4,300mAh battery.
Moreover, this matches the Galaxy Z Flip 7 exactly. However, Samsung may use updated battery cells. Software optimizations and hardware improvements could boost battery life. A similar approach helped the Galaxy S26 Ultra outperform its predecessor despite identical capacity.
Camera and Processor Updates Remain Modest
Earlier leaks suggest limited camera changes. The Galaxy Z Flip 8 focuses on small refinements instead of big upgrades. It will likely run on the new Exynos 2600 chipset. This processor uses an advanced 2nm manufacturing process.

The Galaxy Z Flip 8 should start at around EUR 1,199 for the 256GB version. This price aligns with the previous model. In India, the current Galaxy Z Flip 7 begins at Rs. 1,09,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant.
