Poco X8 Pro is gearing up for an India launch soon. Its predecessor, Poco X7 Pro 5G, arrived exactly a year ago. Now, fresh leaks reveal exciting details about the new series.
Tipster Sanju Choudhary shared chipset information on X recently. The standard Poco X8 Pro will reportedly use the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chipset. Meanwhile, the rumored Poco X8 Pro Max aims higher with the Dimensity 9500s processor.
Interestingly, the same chips appear in Oppo’s upcoming K15 Turbo series. The base Oppo K15 Turbo matches the Dimensity 8500. On the flip side, the Oppo K15 Turbo Pro targets the Dimensity 9500s. However, some reports suggest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 for Oppo’s Pro model instead. Take these claims cautiously until official confirmation arrives.
Poco X8 Pro already surfaced on India’s BIS certification site. Model number 2511FPC34I confirms its imminent arrival. Pricing could exceed Rs. 30,000 in India. This marks a notable jump from the Poco X7 Pro’s starting price of Rs. 27,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant.
The device promises a 6.67-inch 1.5K LTPS AMOLED display. It likely supports a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, an IP68 rating ensures strong dust and water resistance. Battery capacity hits an impressive 8,000mAh. Fast 100W wired charging completes the package efficiently.
Meanwhile, the Oppo K15 Turbo leans toward a 6.59-inch flat 1.5K LTPS display. It also features a built-in waterproof active cooling fan. This addition appeals to gamers who demand sustained performance.
Overall, Poco and Oppo are pushing mid-range boundaries aggressively. Powerful MediaTek chips drive both lineups forward. India shoppers can expect strong competition soon. Stay tuned for official announcements from the brands.
