Google has announced the rollout of its Veo 2 artificial intelligence (AI) model to Gemini chatbot. This allows users to generate eight-second-long videos with text prompts in natural language. This feature is currently accessible only to paid subscribers of Gemini Advanced.

Key Features of Veo 2:

  • Text Prompts: Use natural language to describe the scene, specifying details like camera lens, movements, and cinematic effects
  • Video Output: Download videos in MP4 format
  • Sharing: Share generated videos on social media platforms like TikTok and YouTube

How to Use Veo 2:

  1. Select Veo 2: Choose the Veo 2 model from the model picker menu in Gemini’s web client or mobile app
  2. Describe the Scene: Enter a detailed text prompt to generate the video
  3. Generate Video: Veo 2 will create an eight-second video clip based on the prompt
