Asus ROG Phone 9 FE: Upcoming Launch Details & Specs

Asus ROG Phone 9 FE Spotted in Certifications, May Launch Soon

Asus is reportedly working on a new addition to its flagship gaming smartphone series, the ROG Phone 9. The upcoming device is rumored to be dubbed the ROG Phone 9 FE. This follows the “Fan Edition” or “FE” strategy employed by companies like Samsung. They offer more affordable variants of their flagship phones with slightly toned-down specifications.

Certification Listings and Speculations:

The existence of the ROG Phone 9 FE has been hinted at by recent certification listings. The device, with the model number ASUS_AI2401_N, has been spotted on Malaysia’s SIRIM certification website and Thailand’s NBTC certification database. While the full specifications remain under wraps, the model number is very similar to the ROG Phone 8 (AI2401). This resemblance suggests it could share similar internals, including the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.

Previous Spotting and Potential Launch:

The ROG Phone 9 FE was previously spotted on the Wi-Fi Alliance website, further solidifying its imminent launch. If launched, it will join the existing ROG Phone 9. It will also join the ROG Phone 9 Pro in the company’s gaming smartphone lineup.

Fan Edition Strategy:

The “FE” moniker typically signifies a more budget-friendly version of a flagship device. This strategy enables manufacturers to reach a wider audience. They offer a powerful device at a more accessible price point.

Official Launch and Availability:

Asus has not officially announced the ROG Phone 9 FE. However, recent certifications and previous sightings suggest that its launch may be imminent.
