Poco M8 Pro 5G Launched Globally With Massive Battery and Fast Charging
Poco expands its mid-range lineup. The Poco M8 Pro 5G was unveiled alongside the standard Poco M8 5G in select global markets on Thursday. The Pro model stands out with a huge 6,500mAh battery supporting 100W wired fast charging. Additionally, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset powers the device for strong performance.
While the Poco M8 5G already launched in India, the Pro variant remains unavailable there. The company has not announced plans for an Indian release yet.
Pricing and Early Bird Offers
The Poco M8 Pro 5G starts at $299 (roughly ₹26,900) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. The higher 12GB RAM + 512GB storage option costs $359 (roughly ₹32,300).
Early bird promotions reduce prices even more. The 256GB model drops to $279 (roughly ₹25,100). The 512GB version is now $339 (roughly ₹30,500). Availability begins immediately in supported regions.
Key Specifications and Features
The Poco M8 Pro 5G features a large 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display (1,280×2,772 pixels) with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 3,200 nits. Gorilla Glass Victus 2 provides durable protection.
It runs Android 15-based HyperOS 2 out of the box. The Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC pairs with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.
Photography highlights include a 50-megapixel Light Fusion 800 primary sensor with OIS, paired with an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens. A 32-megapixel front camera handles selfies and video calls.
Audio enthusiasts get stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio certification.
The standout 6,500mAh battery supports 100W fast charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging. Ruggedness comes from IP66, IP68, and IP69K ratings for dust, water, and high-pressure resistance.
Connectivity options cover 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Security features an in-display fingerprint sensor and AI face unlock.
