Grok, xAI’s AI Chatbot, Now Available as an iOS App
xAI is the artificial intelligence (AI) company founded by Elon Musk. It has officially launched its native chatbot, Grok, as a standalone iOS app. The company has been testing the app in beta for nearly a month. It is now available for download in the US. However, Gadgets 360 has confirmed that the app is also functional in India.
The standalone Grok app offers all the features available on the web version of the chatbot. Users can generate images. They can ask web search-based queries. They can also engage in conversational AI interactions. This is possible even when not logged in to their X (formerly Twitter) account.
Signing in to an X account provides a more personalized experience. It tailors the AI chatbot’s responses to individual user preferences.
The official xAI handle announced the app’s launch on the X platform. It highlighted the convenience of accessing Grok’s capabilities without the need for a web browser.
The initial launch appears to be focused on the US market. However, the app’s availability in India demonstrates the company’s potential plans for global expansion.
Grok aims to compete with other popular AI chatbots like ChatGPT and Bard. It offers a unique blend of conversational AI, image generation, and web search capabilities.
This development marks a significant step for xAI, bringing its innovative AI technology directly to users’ mobile devices.
