ColorOS 15 — the new operating system (OS) for Oppo and OnePlus smartphones — was unveiled on Thursday. Based on the latest Android 15, the update introduces enhanced visual elements with texture interpretation, detailed animations, and new themes. It also enables easy file transfers between Oppo and iPhone models, courtesy of the O+ interconnection app. ColorOS 15 supports artificial intelligence (AI) features in its Xiaobu assistant. Users can now hold natural language conversations. They can also take advantage of its on-screen awareness capabilities.

Vivo Y19s has been launched by the company as the latest addition to the company’s Y series of smartphones. It is powered by an octa core Unisoc chipset, along with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The phone is equipped with a 6.68-inch LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and has a 50-megapixel rear camera.  It features a 5,500mAh battery, according to the company. The Vivo Y19s runs on Android 14, along with the company’s Funtouch OS 14 interface.

Pricing for the Vivo Y19s is yet to be announced. The smartphone is also yet to be listed on the company’s online stores. It will be available in Black, Blue, and silver colorways in several countries. These include Bangladesh, UAE, Russia, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Pakistan. It will also be in Saudi Arabia, Cambodia, Egypt, Thailand, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. There’s no word from Vivo on plans to launch the handset in India.

Huawei Watch GT 5 has been launched in India as the latest smartwatch from the Chinese company. The wearable is available in 46mm and 41mm sizes. Both variants are equipped with an AMOLED screen and a rotating crown. They also feature various sensors that enable functions such as sleep analysis and pulse wave arrythmia analysis. The 46mm model can offer up to 14 days of battery life. The smaller variant can run for up to seven days on a single charge. This information is according to the company.

Huawei Watch GT 5 price in India starts at Rs. 15,999 for the 41mm model. This model is available with Black (Fluoroelastomer), Blue (Fluoroelastomer), Brown (Woven), and White (Composite Leather) strap options. It is also sold in a Gold (Milanese) variant that is priced at Rs. 21,999.

The 46mm model is priced at Rs. 16,999 and can be purchased in Black (Fluoroelastomer), Blue (Woven), and Brown (Composite Leather) strap variants. Both variants will go on sale in India on October 20 via Flipkart. Customers can already pre-order the wearable to avail of a Rs. 1,000 discount.

Poco C75 launch appears to be around the corner as its renders and key specifications have surfaced online. The leaked renders show the Poco C series phone in three colors. It is expected to run on MediaTek Helio G85 SoC. It will be paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The Poco C75 is said to feature a 6.88-inch HD+ LCD touchscreen and could carry a 5,000mAh battery. The design language and specifications of the Poco C75 appear to be similar to that of the Redmi 14C.

Alleged renders and specifications of the Poco C75 were shared by tipster Sudhanshu Ambore (@Sudhanshu1414), in collaboration with SmartPrix. The renders show the phone in black, gold, and green colors. It appears to have a waterdrop-style notch on the display, housing the selfie camera. The smartphone is seen with a large circular camera module at the rear.

Elista has launched a new 85-inch smart TV in India. It is the most affordable smart TV in the category. The TV features a 4K panel with HDR 10 support and runs on Google TV. The Elista 85-inch TV comes with a bezel-less design and supports over-the-top (OTT) platforms such as Amazon Prime, and Netflix. It gets speakers with support for Dolby Audio. The Elista 85-inch Google TV has inbuilt Chromecast. It allows users to stream movies, shows, photos, and more from their phones right to their TVs.

iQOO 13 is the upcoming flagship smartphone from the Vivo subsidiary. It could launch in India by the end of the year. This information comes from details shared by a tipster. It is expected to be unveiled in China next month. It will be one of the first handsets equipped with Qualcomm’s next-generation chipset. The iQOO 13 has also surfaced on benchmarking website Geekbench. It features the purported Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. This is expected to be unveiled later this month. It gives us an idea of what to expect from the upcoming handset.

A Smartprix report citing tipster Yogesh Brar claims that the iQOO 13 will be launched in India on December 5. The smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s next flagship chipset. The chipmaker is expected to unveil it later this month. It will be called the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 (or Snapdragon 8 Elite), according to the publication.

The Vivo sub-brand has not yet announced a launch date for the iQOO 13 in China. It has also not announced a date for global markets. Last year, the company unveiled the iQOO 12 in China in November. The handset reached India a month later.

Oppo K12 Plus was launched by the smartphone maker in China on Saturday. The company’s latest handset features a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. It includes up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. It runs on ColorOS 14, which is based on Android 14. It also packs a 6,400mAh battery with support for 80W charging. The Oppo K12 Plus features a dual rear camera setup and a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The company has touted the durability of the handset, which also has an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.

Oppo K12 Plus price starts at CNY 1,899 (roughly Rs. 22,600) for the base model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Meanwhile, the 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB variants are priced at CNY 2,099 (roughly Rs. 25,000) and CNY 2,499 (roughly Rs. 29,800), respectively. It will be sold in Basalt Black and Snow Peak White (translated from Chinese) colour options.

The JioFinance app was launched in India on Friday as a one-stop solution for financial essentials. It has been developed by Jio Financial Services Limited (JFSL), previously a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited. The app is now available widely for users in the country. It offers facilities for carrying out UPI transactions. It also allows for monitoring and investing in mutual funds and making bill payments. Notably, it was first introduced in beta in May. JFSL claims that over six million people have already taken advantage of its services.

The JioFinance app is available for download on the Google Play Store for Android. It is also available on the App Store for iOS devices, according to JFSL. Alternatively, it can also be accessed through the MyJio platform.

With JioFinance, users can carry out UPI payments by linking their bank accounts and scanning QR codes at offline merchants. It also allows online payments and money to be sent to other users. The app’s UPI International feature can be used to make cross-border payments. Various settings, such as removing UPI IDs, changing bank accounts and setting mandates, can be managed through the app. Rewards will be awarded for every UPI transaction carried out within the app.
